Portet House Moraira - Dalia Alba

Carpentry: Os Sosoares - Schuco

Residential Project - Year 2018

PORTET HOUSE

  • PROJECT: PORTET HOUSE

The project is conceived as a large concrete volume containing the bedrooms, supported by a glass box containing the day areas.

The contrast between the brutal concrete giant and the thin, fragile glass plays on opposites to surprise the observer.

The house opens its most public door to the outside, closing in the night area. The only feature of the concrete volume is a large south-facing opening with views of the sea. An interior courtyard illuminates the basement area, giving it the same importance in terms of finishes and habitability as the rest of the house.

The ground floor is the most open space of the house with large glass surfaces that allow the visual and functional extension of the interior spaces to the exterior areas, which are related to the fantastic views of the sea and its surroundings, generating a continuous indoor-outdoor space. On this floor are located the daytime or more public spaces of the dwelling, the living room, dining room and kitchen in a single open space closely linked to the infinity pool that merges with the sea.

The first floor houses the night areas: bedrooms and private bathrooms. This floor is materialised with a large exposed concrete box, closed on all its sides except one, which seeks the views of the sea and the best natural lighting. This emphatic volume gives the spaces privacy and protection despite being totally open on one of its sides.

The basement is the most enclosed space of the house, illuminated only by its own vertical garden that provides light and privacy to the spaces located there. Giving it the same importance in terms of finishes and habitability as the rest of the house. This is where the leisure areas of the house and the service areas and private garage are located.

Portet House has opted for minimalist carpentry OS Sosoares. Aluminium carpentry exclusive to Dekovent in the Levante area, central and southern Spain. It is a high-end carpentry that offers volumes and weights above average.

Además, cuenta con schüco FW50+, sistema para fachadas de vidrio de alta calidad en términos de diseño y comfort.

In general, its privileged location, its orientation, its spacious rooms and its large windows that let in natural light, make this project the ideal home for anyone.
